Legend Fires Northwest Stages 2013

The Legend Fires North West Stages takes place on the 8/9th February 2013. The events aim is to raise funds for a number of nominated charities that include Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The Rally this year has attracted a two times British Champion who will run as course car during the event. The event already has attracted over 70 entries so far, with some ex winners amongst them, so it should make for an action packed event.

There will also be demo vehicles to warm the crowds up before the main event. These include a Toyota Celica GT4, Vauxhall Firenza, Ferrari 308 and British Off-road V8 Freelander.

The Rally Village (based in the Norbreck Hotel) will be home to Scrutineering from 1300hrs Friday, to overnight Parc Ferme and the Champagne spraying Finale around 1900hrs Saturday. Not to mention a whole host of Traders and some fantastic cars on display, it’s free of charge and is a must for all motorsport enthusiasts. The ever-popular Promenade Stage (used both days) is sited directly opposite the Norbreck Hotel making the Arena a magnet for spectators before and after its run.

I`ll be spectating as its a couple of miles from my house :lol:

We have been a few places for the Friday night in the last few years:-

Lytham village (the old hall)
Weeton
The front

Saturday has always been Weeton (and its not too late a finish)

But I really dont mind anywhere - love the event and have avoided the water works every year thank fully!!!!

Might try and drum up a few Lads from the South again!!!!

 

I marshalled at the north west stages just across from the glass blowing place I think? Was about 10 years ago mind so might be in wrong place ha, fancy it myself but on a stag do in Northern Ireland which is a shame as I enjoyed it last time, like seeing the older cars mk2 and 6r4's etc

 

What time do we need to be about for the Saturday to Marshall as I am on nights on the Friday

Mark Carter is the Chief Marshal for the event, hes always helpful and try and place you where you want.

Think Friday only has the Prom left, but the Demo cars and car '0' will deffo keep you entertained at the spectator stages.

 

That would have been at Weeton Barracks, just down the road from Ditchfields(Glass) :wink:

 

Cool was good to watch will defo make next year

 

First car normally hits about 9:30/10 am most years!! - so 7:30 for 8 ish normally on site would see you good.
