Am going to have a look at a Legacy Spec B this weekend. Had been thinking of a WRX estate or a Forester XT but I reckon the Leggy is what I'm going to settle for. Have driven one a few times before, in fact I had one for about six weeks when some clown in a main dealer near-wrote my Spec D off "testing it". I've noticed mention of a couple of LADS running them, was just wondering what their opinions are and if there is anything I should be specifically looking for or worrying about as I haven't found much on them from Google searching unless it is preceded by "2.5" lol. Would welcome any thoughts, no matter how unconstructive...
Legacy spec.B is either 3.0R with the N/A 3.0 H6 engine - or the Jap import 2.0GT twin scroll turbo  - There is a 2.5 turbo version but it's only USDM models AFAIK Lots of info and very enthusiastic enthusiasts here... http://www.uklegacy.com/forums Huge US knowledge base here http://legacygt.com/ And Ozzy 'Liberty' enthusiasts live here... http://forum.liberty.asn.au/ Great cars Mine is 2004 JDM 2.0GT spec.B - with lots of mods
Thanks for those links and that info. I'll register when I get one, which should hopefully be this weekend. I'm looking at the UK 3.0 H6. It's a nice engine and genuinely sounds like a 911. My wife wants me to get something sensible to drive a baby around in and has... tolerated my previous cars. I think the Spec B is about as sensible as I'm ever going to go. I also want all wheel drive and cannot bring myself to buy something with four rings on the front. Was considering the 2.0 JDM model but I don't think I can justify the outlay to be honest, they go for a fair whack with low mileage. Also, I think I'd be defeating the object of why I am buying one - I am looking for a relatively comfortable sporty saloon for daily commuting and long distance cruises, not a bigger version of the Impreza STi, which I already have!
