Course you can Andy, should be in pretty much every day now that ive finished for xmas!!!!! [][][] Here is the latest pic of the engine bay, everything that needs disconnecting, moving etc has been done and alls that i need to do now is remove the bolts from mounts and box and get it lifted out. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/T ... G_0268.jpg I hope its as easy to put together as it is to get to this far. []
John, This place has V7 and V8 JDM STI shortblocks: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthr ... did=539826 at decent prices. Andrew...
Nice link Andrew, could be up and running in no time with one of those, especially the version 8, hmmmmmmm! [8D] And then have a block to "play" with. []
Only just noticed your last post Elvis. Im actually enjoying it, always loved finding out how things worked as a kid. Even more so that its something that i love to drive.[]
A couple of upto date pics for your viewing pleasure; 1: ENGINE READY FOR LIFTING http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/T ... G_0270.jpg 2: ENGINE LIFTED WITH THE "HANDY LOOKING PULLEY THING" [] http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/T ... G_0273.jpg 3: THAT DOESNT LOOK TO GOOD![] (OIL IN BELL HOUSING, LOOKS LIKE ENGINE OIL TOO!) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/T ... G_0271.jpg The clutch assembly is dry but will be able to tell if oil is coming from around the seal on crank case once clutch is removed, tommorrows job! []
Dave, hopefully its something youll never have to see in the flesh/metal! [] Bill, cheers bud. [] Im taking plenty of pics but will post what are the more interesting ones, if anyone needs any pics of anything imparticular then let me know and i will see what i can do. So far so good. []

Just got up from a good nights sleep to make an early atart! [:0] Andy, no probs m8. Cord, someones got to stay and keep the place ticking over, rather you than me! Nice one with the price list, shouldnt need it before next week.

I like to make jam tarts first thing in the morning, dont like to start the day on an empty stomach![8D] Anyway been in the garage again today. 1: INLET MANIFOLD REMOVED http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/T ... G_0277.jpg As you can see in the pic it has become slightly flakey. Going to either get it repainted/sprayed or might even polish it for that bling bling look although it isnt meant to be as good for thermal displacement when smooth. 2: ENGINE ON THE STAND http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/T ... G_0275.jpg Obviously manifold removed. Prior to removing cam belt my old man rocked the crank pulley bolt back and forth and low and behold you could here the knock of the knackered big end bearing [xx(], i was starting to worry that nothing was wrong after draining the oil and finding no metal in it! [] The bolt that holds the main pulley on was a barsteward [!] to get off and after a quick phone call to Mr C to confirm it was right hand thread i managed to get it off. Cheers for that. More to come tommorrow. [8D]
