Woodvale rally

    Woodvale Rally is an event held at an airfield just outside Southport, i’ve never been before but its one of those events where you see all the old school classics you’d not normally see on the show scene. There’s a strong local scene for classics in the Northwest with most of these cars kept lovingly by local enthusiasts in period condition.

    I was hoping to see some J-tin and the show didn’t disappoint

    Toyota Celica, I think this was a 77 amazing how similar these are too their Mustang counterparts

    Toyota Celica with the Griffin roof conversion, by cutting the roof behind the B pillar a targa style roof is added, had an interesting chat to the owner about this really nice guy, he even opened the bonnet for me.

    Saw this Skyline earlier in the day but the owner didnt hang around long so I didn’t manage to have a chat but it looked as new

    Perfect for an elderly statesman, the Bentley and Rolls Royce owners were roughing it with their picnic sets, smoked salmon, garden salads and champagne I on the other hand made do with a burger and a warm bottle of coke. Happy days

    I didn’t get any photos of the Porsche stand but they had a luncheon and mowed the grass on the entire stand

    i drove past the lea gate pub few weeks back on an evening and there was loads of old school , hotrod stylee cars - dunno if its a monthly do or what but some nice motors in and around the car park.
