Wales Rally GB 2013

WRGB 2013

Hello everyone sorry I been AWOL Time to get sorted for WRGB 2013 which is in North Wales which should give record attendances year.

LAC/Ken Wilkinson/Jon Binns have requested (not confirmed by us) help for the following stages to marshal:

14/11 Thursday Clocaenog SS3 (instage- night stage FCD 20.46 hrs)
15/11 Friday Sweet Lamb SS5/8 (instage FCD 10.58/15.09 hrs )
16/11 Saturday Dyfnant 1 SS14/ (instage FCD 12.42 hrs)
17/11 Sunday Penallyn SS18 (ATC/Start/FF & Stop FCD 10.01 hrs)

I propose that we could try and secure the Welshpool bunkhouse we stayed in again as this worked well for the central Wales stages and we do Penallyn (west of Bala lake) on the way home.

The issue I see is that if we do the night stage FCD at 20.46 hrs it could early hours to arrive at the bunkhouse so we should not volunteer for this but meet on the Thursday night to be fresh for Sweet Lamb SS5/8 Friday. Please pm me with your thoughts.

Can we please confirm who is up for the trip this year and what days first before we confirm on rally stage team. Please edit this list below.

WRGB Update

Update for LADS,

Firstly can anyone who is attending please check they have a valid in date MSA Rally Marshal Registration Card please.

Stages

Stages notified by Lancashire Automobile Club/LADS to marshal for WRGB 2013:

Friday 15th November Sweet Lamb SS5/8 Duties - Instage FCD 10.58/15.09 hrs
Saturday16th November Dyfnant 1 SS14 Duties - Instage FCD 12.42 hrs
Sunday 17th November Penallyn SS18 Duties - Timing ATC/Start/FF & Stop FCD 10.01 hrs

Registration for Stages - MSA Registered Marshals

those of you who have used this last year should have your username (usually email address) and your password handy.

Registering for Friday I am the Group Leader, Saturday stages register under Group Leader David Bell and Sunday stages Group Leader Martin Wylie. I’ll log in to check who has registered to date.

New Marshals

PM me when you have filled in the form with your passport photo attached and I will send you my address. I will get an LAC official to sign and post to the MSA, registration cards are usually sent within 2 weeks to your home address.

Accomodation

I have booked our accomodation is nr. Welshpool for the bargain price of £12 per bed night but with your own sleeping bag, £2.50 extra if you want bed linen. Link here:

It has ample parking outside, 2 kitchens and TV lounge. We stayed her in 2011 and it was very good and 2 miles from Welshpool and the takeaways. Sadly I have to report that Dennis is staying in alternative accommodation.

Itinerary

For those going all 4 days is:

Day 1 - Arrive at accommodation for 19.00 hrs. We may take a look in at service park on Deeside on the way down for those of us convoying down (rendezvous TBA) and settle in, order kebabs, drink beer and have banter

Day 2 - travel to Sweet Lamb

Day 3 - travel to Dyfnant

Day 4 - travel north to Penallyn which shortens the distance home to North West pm Sunday typically around 15.00 / 16.00 hrs

Any other LADS who may want to attend for the day or event just pm me, at this stage I have 17 maximum beds at the Bunkhouse.
