Thought this may be of interest.
Taken from the website of Blue Print ADL, manufacturers of aftermarket components for Jap (& other) cars.

“Further to the Office of Fair Trading’s announcement that a new vehicle owner is no longer obliged to have their car serviced by a franchised main dealer (as long as the servicing is carried out according to the vehicle manufacturer’s service schedules using parts of matching quality), Blue Print is pleased to announce that its parts for Japanese and Korean cars are classified as Matching Quality.

Blue Print parts are manufactured to exacting standards and are of matching quality as defined in EC No 1400/2002. The statement of matching quality is fully supported by the respective parts manufacturer and means that a vehicle’s warranty will not be affected by fitting Blue Print parts.

In addition all Blue Print products come with a two year warranty against manufacturing defects and without mileage limitation. (Service items such as filters, spark plugs etc should be changed at the manufacturer’s specified intervals).”

If anybody is really interested the OFT pdf document that relates to new car warranties is here:

Just to add to this, ADL Blueprint parts are infact off the same production line used for supplying Subaru in Japan, and all bearings and rotating parts etc., will be produced by NTN Japans biggest (if not the worlds) bearing manufacturer, or Koyo another Japanese bearing manufacturer.

And that's from speaking to ADL's technical guy.
