Ive been thinking of what car to use for track days, most of all parts must be easy to get hold of. Here is my short list so far: civic vti civic crx alfa 155 mazda mx5 nissan silvia s12 or s13 almera gti sunny gti 106 rallye 205 gti r5 gt turbo rover brm rover 220 turbo 2dr rover 420 gsi turbo suzuki cappuncino celica gt4 st 185 mk1 mr2 Any thoughts on these?
205 gti 1.9 of course, driven my mates the only thing that has been done is its lowered, k&n awsome piece of kit and parts are cheap and easy to get hold of i really like the rover 220 turbos i mean you can pick one up around £800-£1000 and 200bhp, but to be honest they cost a little bit to get handling to any sort of level for a track and also the brakes need upgrading straight away not a good track toy so 205gti 8)
Whats its like trying to get parts for? Anywhere in particular where to look for rust. and whats the most I should pay for one?
hi both rear wheel arches both rot u carnt get them new . but vauxhall nova 5 door ones do fit. front wings rot on front lips. but u can get fibre glass ones for 65 and do fit well.. engine if pretty bullet proof 4a-ge same as toyota corolla ae86 130 bhp the is a mr2 challenge for a kind of track day  and for how much u pay how big is your pocket
everbody got 205s and they rot to ask gerry       but mr2 will kick its ass on roads
