Squeaky clutch

Hi chaps, I've got a 2007 hawkeye wrx with 26k on the clock, I haven't driven it for nearly 4 weeks but tonight I had to pick the kids up but noticed every gear change a quite loud squeak. I stopped the car outside the nursery and just pumped the clutch and it sounded like a dry cable sound if you know what I mean, can anyone share any info on this because I really hope it's a quick fix and not as sinister as it sounds

 

Probably just the pedal mechanism. Try a bit of wd40 on the return spring and push rod.

+1 here mine doing same gona give mine a spray i think you need to get to clutch cable lever some one will correct me if im wrong by removing the top mount i think
