Snowdonia mountain run (SMR).

After a few beers at the North West Rally, an idea was born to tackle some of the best driving roads the UK have to offer, right on our door step in Wales. This is Top Gear country and in my opinion, the roads are utterly fantastic.

A date is yet TBC (possibly May when the days are longer) but the plan would be to hit the welsh mountains early on a Saturday morning - do the compulsory tunnel runs on the coast before heading into the mountains.

This would be a family runout and personally, I'd take my tent and stay over, have a few beers and head deeper into the Wales on sunday - if anyone would do that, let me know and we can get a proper plan together.

Cant do that weekend im afraid!
It also may be difficult to get a camp site on that weekend for us all to stay at (Easter) Everywhere will be fully booked.

I'm thinking of Blackrock Sands for a nice picture against the cliffs, approaching from Bedgelert down the twisties. 8)

Having consulted the diary and planned around numerous busy weekends, how does the weekend of the 26th june sound?

Meet on Saturday morning (26th) and camp that night prior to a another blast on Sunday. I may even go on the Friday, just to make a full weekend, we can pre-determine a campsite and RV there for those who like the camping lark

Kate/Dom...are you up for a recce on May bank holiday (1st May)?
