Went in Comet on Friday and they were doin an exclusive deal.

    £100 !!! :D

Already have full package and was going to phone them and pay the £250 "special offer" price for being a "valued" customer.

not sure how long the offer is on for - the receipt says Comet Sky Dec offer - so it might be on for a few weeks for anyone looking to go HD

So the £100. applies even if you are an existing member ?

Or is it just for someone who is purchasing Sky from scratch

According to the sales assistant (who has taken the offer himself) it is available for new and old customers for £100 plus £30 fitting - forgot to mention that still applies as they have to upgrade the cable I believe.

Quad LNB normally already installed for Sky+ users.

Is there still a £10 a month charge for the HD services ? I know our £10 for sky+ epg has now been waived as we have had it over 12 months.

Still 10 quid a month I think, I reckon it will get dropped this year just like the Sky+ charge did.

I was thinking of buying one and not signing up to HD until the 10 quid is dropped. The HD box has HDMI so should give a better SD picture when used with HD TV compared to scart.
