It does look a nice thing, I wonder how long before the look starts to ware off though ? Looks like it will be a lot more nimble than other jags too. Shame the jag still has the "old man" image. If they could shake that and make the brand cool again I'm sure they would sell more cars, I mean look at the 4.2 supercharged engine, has to be one of the best engines made ever ?

John, you are too right, the 4.2 supercharged is brilliant, had to get rid of the S type R as I was working in Scotland and 15 mpg is no good doing 450 miles a week.

Horrendous on fuel but a very smooth powerful engine. How long has it been about now ? And how many different models of car has it been in ?

The 4.2 came out in 2005, it was a 4.0 before that, both supercharged.

As far as I know, it's been in S type R, XJR, XFR and XKR. Think it's enlarged to 5.0 or 5.2 now.

Memories of those abominations of the last couple of decades of the 20th Century long gone after the terrific cars of recent years.

Lovely car that, really looks the part.

Saw one in the flesh at the Ormskirk Motorfest.

Great to see Jaguar making cars that we actually aspire to own once again.

I love that new Jag, think they got the styling and all the little add-on bits spot on
