Early as this may seem, venues are already being booked up for Christmas parties, so we have made inquiries for our famous Christmas Do.

We have provisionally booked the Swan and Royal in Clitheroe, some of you MAY remember it from my wedding and it was an excellent venue and food.
Final costings have not yet been made, but the owner has quoted considerably less for meal and disco than the £23 per head we paid at Holden Vale last year.

The date is set for Friday 1st December as quite a few members later on in the month were attending works Christmas parties
Accomodation is available in 3 local hotels just a couple of minutes walk from the venue and costs are far cheaper than HV.

Please add your name to the list to attend the best bash of the year.

    NOW CONFIRMED DECEMBER 1st

    Let the fun begin.

Ok guys, I'm gonna keep this thread tidy as well, as we could end up 15 pages long :D

Just copy and paste the last post adding your details, once this has been seen for a day or two, I will delete it, leaving the up to date list in place

    Andrea
Im going over in the next couple of weeks to sort the menu out and arrange times.
I would have thought based on previous DOs we would eat around 8 - 8:30 but will know for sure once I have spoken to them.

Which ones were you thinking off?

    UPDATE

Finally got all the bits and pieces sorted so here are all the details.

    Cost per head is £17.50.
This includes the cost of the disco, very competative compared to £23 last year at Holden Vale.
Ideally the meal needs to to be served at 8:00pm, but it can be put back to 8:30 for people travelling a distance so if needed we are still able to alter the 8:00 pm commencement over the next week or 2.

Could I please ask for a £10 per head deposit to be paid either at Sundays meeting or at the latest on the Rolling Road day, where Chris Towers will take your money ( he dosen't know it yet ) as last year some people left it till the death.

Below are the options for the menu, please pick one selection from each course for every one attending and email your choices directly to me at rb5wrc@aol.com so i can put your choices on to the master sheet.

    Starters

Poached Salmon Terraine with Lemon & Dill
    or
    Prawn Cocktail
    or
    Home Made Soup

    Mains

    Traditional Roast Turkey
    or
    Lamb Henry
    or
Fillet of Salmon Supreme marinated in a cranberry & Orange sauce.

    Sweets

    Christmas pudding with brandy sauce
    or
    Dark chocolate truffle
    or
Hot Black cherries & ice cream

Warm mince pie & coffee and mints

    Thanks
    Trev
