Gauging interest into the LADS bbq event this year. I thought it would be best to try and hold this on August 15th after the meet. There is a small public bbq area near Beacon Fell with off road parking for about 25 cars. The postcode is PR3 2NL or another quick link on Google Earth is Beacon Fell, BEACON FELL Carwags (SE-bound) The only downfall to this site is that it is a public area so there might be a chance of someone else using it when we turn up. Might be worth considering a back up location - I took the kids up Beacon a few Sundays ago, and every parking area was packed !. A bit of sun and the place will be full, although I doubt it will be sunny in August :lol: .

great idea gary but i dont think i will be there and dont think a few have consired that its the opening day of the prem that day just incase people pull out quickly

There's not many here that watch live premiership matches any more, I have to my little Lad won't shrug off Bolton Wanderers as much as I tell him Leeds are back in the Champions league :wink: Michael
If the weather permits, what is the plan for this event? Are there an BBQ facilities there, should we bring our own bbq's/ food etc?
The area is a large brick semi circle with seating and built in bbq area, it is next to the rangers house who we are friends with, I shall be giving him a quick call after the meet and before we set off to check how busy the car park is and if anyone is using the bbq. I shall be bringing enough coals for everyone to use so you should only need to bring your own food and drink. sorry about the delay in answering but we have only just got back from holiday, I will post up about plans for a convoy later this week
