Just to let you know guys, this will now no longer be at the venue mentioned in my first post, we are hoping to still get Ian Grindrod as a guest but this will be scailed down as we aren't getting the numbers we hoped for

It will be more of an evening out at a restaurant (still to be confirmed) for a meal and a few beers, not too far from where we planned.

We hope all on the list will still be joining us for a great evening on the same date originally planned.

That's a shame, I can't believe there isn't more take up for this.

We are hoping to still make it but with the little one due 6 November we're going to have to play it by ear and will just keep you all advised.

LOL - We couldn't get people to spend £10 to attend an event with guest speakers, food & a disco so I doubt there's much chance they'd pay yu&you prices :lol:

Looks nice Some parts are high price but great choice would deffo be up for this place and still only as stated 4 miles away so easy for accom down the road

 

As mentioned at Sundays meeting we are going to look at just going out for a meal at a pub.

I have spoken with a mate of mine who now runs the Hartwood in Chorley, just of teh M61 so quite central and easy to get to, it has a small hotel attached if anybody needs to stop over.

Its has good value meal deals so not to expensive on the pocket, leaving more for beer money.

He has said he will section of part of the pub for us so we can all be together and will also put on a tribute act for us for entertainment if we can guarantee 40-50 people attending. Obvioulsy this will cost him money so we need people to confirm attendance and pay a £5 deposit per person.
