Since i scraped my nice new alloys yesterday, ive been thinking, between bouts of inconsolable wailing.[V]
I/we need something to stick on the car that will stick out far enough to hit the kerb BEFORE the alloy does when parking.

I have an idea of a small wing that attaches to the front bumper that sticks out about 40-50mm and curves down to make sure its low enough to catch the kerb. So basically youll hear it rub the kerb before the wheel does.

I was thinking carbon fibre, but probably fibre glass for costs sake.

Interested?

Feedback, flaming, abuse all welcome.

Some tyres overhang the rim more than others, and are sometimes marked as
im protectors.

Alternatively, learn to park more accurately or even just park further from the curb!

yeah, but its not that easy is it. It was just one of those things i was pulling up to let someone out and sccccraaappe.

My potenzas do overhang a little but obviously not enough.

Hate it when that happens!! Its gutting!! Thought the yanks in the 70s had some kind of anti kerbing device that stuck out and rubbed on the kerb ??

where are they? if i could see one i could try and make them in carbon fibre.

Also why would you want something that will be sacrificed, chrome plated?

No need for silly inventions [V]

Just put some sponge on the kerb before you park [^]

I was thinking something like this

Ill try it cardboard tomorrow, see how stoopid it looks and then move on to carbon fibre
