Have you run it on a strip Paul? Be interesting to see the 'calculated' time against the 'actual' time.
I have had a go on the strip. I did a 12.4 running at the 385bhp. I have had a play with figures and I think they are slightly generous or maybe I am rubbish at launching my car ( it wasn't first time :lol plus I had the 6 speed gear box(an extra gear change down the strip) and it is difficult to drop it in fifth gear quickly on a 6 speed box. :? Ok added 100kg to my car: with a bit of practice I think could of got near these figures (ish) Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 385 Weight without Driver (KG) : 1335 Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 293.02 0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.65 0 - 100 (Secs) : 9.24 60 - 100 (Secs) : 5.59 Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.26 Terminal Speed (MPH) : 115.19 Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.86 Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 119.10 :
It's only a calculator Paul, we're not taking it seriously mate! Stick the figures up, and don't forget to put 3 tons (6720kgs) in for the weight.
Only kiddin' about the weight!  Stick Saturdays figures in and take the 100 kgs off, this should be good. The calculator does not allow for several things, there's a link to how it works.
Thinking about it with engine, gear box drive shafts, breaks etc it must be in the 1500 kg + Any body know of a weigh bridge I can use
I use a local scrap yard mate most have weighbridges and are happy to help just watch your splitter
The problem is that I did the drag strip day and tried not to take it seriously and just have fun which I did. But I think you just can't help thinking about your times and how you could improve, and before you know it you are hooked/obsessed  Weight is a serious problem and I would like to know how much it weighs now and how much weight I could strip out to make my times improve See I am at it now :!:
Here you go Paul, 2nd car for you, problem solved!   http://bbs.scoobynet.com/private-for-sa ... quick.html
That's a nice motor and not bad money for the spec. But I would feel a fraud driving some elses project car  There is nothing more satisfying that watching your own car grow from standard.
Guesstimated figures but not far out Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 700 Weight without Driver (KG) : 1100 Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 646.58 0 - 60 (Secs) : 2.66 0 - 100 (Secs) : 5.71 60 - 100 (Secs) : 3.05 Quarter Mile (Secs) : 10.77 Terminal Speed (MPH) : 138.58 Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 10.37 Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 143.52
The had mine rolled before scooby shootout 2008 and it was 444bhp and had it corner weighted at a MLR event and it was 1229kg with no rear seats, buddy club front seats and no spare or jack. I got a 11.29 at SSO 2008. Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 444 Weight without Driver (KG) : 1229 Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 367.07 0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.14 0 - 100 (Secs) : 7.88 60 - 100 (Secs) : 4.74 Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.70 Terminal Speed (MPH) : 121.82 Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.30 Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 126.07 Matches up pretty close Dougie
