Hawkeye Tax Bracket

Ok, so the hunt for a Subaru has escalated and I'm finding myself looking at the Hawkeye now (UK Wrx Spec).

What's the deal with tax? Majority are 490 a year on 06/07 but some dealers are saying 290?

 

Just had my reminder through last week and its £505 a year

Depends when the car is registerd in 2006 ,, if its before 23 march 2006 its around 290 a year ,, if its registerd after that date it will be the 505 !!

 

Does that equate to both wrx and sti models though?

 

Ouch! Why are Ford Focus RS's only £290? Don't get it

 

I've seen the perfect 56 Hawkeye but don't think I bring myself to pay 490 a year a tax, that's more than the insurance itself.

 

RS newer must have less emissions the scooby was the highest band!

Some are 505 some 490 - according to the tech spec on autotrader (some might say the car bibble).

 

Just paid £505 on my 07 hawkeye Sti, robbery or what !

 

It's just one of the downsides of cars from 24th March 2006......used to paying it now !

 

WRX's are in the top bracket too I wince every year
