    Hi all,

Today I've been installing a 60mm gauge in my drivers side air vent , not the most pleasurable task i've done

Anyway after a lot of knuckle scraping and swearing here it is, what do you think?

    A couple of questions though?

Has anybody here ever fit a gauge in the vent? if so how can i make it more tidy round the edges of the gauge? because as it is, it looks a bit scruffy :(

What should my standard WRX be boosting at?

It was showing around 0.7 bar on the test drive, does that sound about right?

    Thanks

I think it should be boosting at 13psi or 0.9bar in standard form mate.

    That looks well 8)

Untidy around the edges, could you fit a rubber seal (O-ring rubber), to make it uniform

Looks quality, did all wiring work ok or did you have to change it / adapt it? So tempted to get one of them gauges, saves get pillar pod or centre dash pod. How hard was it to install?

I had to adapt the power wires that plug into the gauge, just had to extend them (4 wires) I took the power from the clock, it had everything I needed (live, ground, acc, and a source to change the gauge to amber lighting for night time)

The boost fittings work fine and these are supplied with the gauge, and the other wires are fine aswell.

The oil temp and pressure senders don't look like they will be any good? So to be on the safe side I'm gonna order a set from scoobyparts cus I've used these before and know they do the job.

I'll be honest it was a bit fiddly to install, and if I was gonna do it again I think I'd go for the dash out option. I ended up snapping a couple of clips and have had to cut some of the air duct tunnel (not sure if that's it's name) to get the vent back in place, so not the tidiest of jobs.

But for me this was the cheapest option, and a bit different.
