Anyone done this? Im told its a fairly simple procedure. As I have been having a slight boost issue I thought it might be worth doing.

    Top tips anyone?

    Steve.

  2. Steve,
Did mine a while back !
I presume yours is still on the standard two port ?
Easy enough job to DIY, just a little awkward removing the bracket that the solenoid is attached to.
Are you in a rush ?
If not bell me tomorrow and Ill see if I can slot you into CSC.

    Chris

P.s. CSC = Chris Scooby Clinic. Although I may get into bother with a well known computer company [:D]

Why do you need to remove the bracket?

The solenoid is just retained by 2 bolts?

    Andrew...

  5. On mine, I couldn get to the second (lower) bolt with the sigma alarm mounted where it is, so I found it easier to remove the bracket (alarm & all [:D] ).
Plus the air box is in the way of the rachet and a spanner doesn fit.
Maybe easier on Steves as I think he has an induction kit fitted.

Oh & Chris, the other bit is awesome, we laughed all the way home.[;)]

    Steve.

  8. Hope it sorts the problem.
As for the laughing - Wait till it falls off, itll be tears of laughter then [:D]

It never crossed my mind until you left but I never invited you in for a brew (or offered to make one) !
There is a house connected to the garage - honest [:D]

Chris, didn think of a brew either now you mention it!! No worries at all[:)]

Now I don know whether it was cleaning the solenoid or the fitment of the new, ultra low profile retaining nut, but Im sure it felt better on the way back!

Oh, & Chris, you gotta hear that DV!!! lol[:D]

    thanks again,

    Steve

  10. Ill dig out another ultra low retaining nut for the otherside - must be another 5 BHP in it for you [:D]
