When I was looking to insure my Scooby I saved over £400.00 [:D] using this search engine, http://www.insuresupermarket.com/motor/default.asp
You put your details in once and it searches over 50 leading insurance companies.
Asda did the best deal for me £340.00 TPFT [:)]
Its worth a look even if your motors not due yet they do all other types of insurance aswell.

My mate insured his FTO with L&V, so they should do!!!!! When I was insuring mine, I went back to HIC who I had my modded Calibra with, they said, We dont do imports, you need to call Adrian Flux, who then said we can do that, Ill put you through to a specialist!!!! Do my head they do!

L & V are ok for the first year but theyll sting you on the second year & you have to be over 30 so Martin couldn get me insured[V][V] weve therefore gone back to Direct Line who seem ok[:D]

Cheers... I`ll get one done tonight and see how much they come out at.
Can someone tell me what mods you need to list for your car when they say any mods!!!!!
Want to keep the price as low as poss like everyone else so don want to give them more info than they need.
i.e wheels 17" / Lowered / bigger brakes / air ind kit / exhaust (decated) or just exhaust.

  16. All off them [;)] - otherwise they put the car back to standard / only pay standard costs, after an accedent / claim.

  17. and none declared mods may invalidate your policy.

I used to be with LV until this year, they qouted me over £2000 [:(!]

It seems once they have gotten you on board and then they start to get claims off that particular model, they then put up there policies for that vehicle.

I am now with Subaru Insured who quoted me £1126.00,great [;)]
