Been looking at an xt forester and the main issue is the air con not working. Can't hear the compressor cut in and seemingly Halford pressure tested the system and said there was no pressure nor refrigerant. Any ideas what the problem could be and possible cost?
I would suggest you take it to a decent AC specialist and get it checked out. Our family Honda CRV had a similar report and was deemed knackered. It was then taken to an AC specialist (sorry can't remember where) and they said the safety had cut in and needed resetting before it could be recharged. They did this and has been perfect since. I know it's a different car but you never know might be as simple as that or a leak on the system.
