Won't quite hit 60 in 5 seconds but hey ho Need to get fit so bought this one first Felt QX65 Hybrid 21 speed Aluminium Frame, great for road and light off road Doing more on road than off road and wanted to go faster  so went and bought this one as well Specialized Allez 27 Road bike 8) 27 Speed,Aluminium Frame,Carbon Forks,Shimano STI Gears First few times out on the Hybrid I thought I was going to die after only a mile  Now do 7-9 miles on the Allez every other day, beats sitting in front of the telly every night Just these darn hills round here that's a killer
Good on yeh fella, I tried this a couple of years ago, was doing about 9 miles 4>5 nights a week, getting towards winter with the nights drawing in the rides were getting a tad dodgy trying to avoid cars, those damn car users
Most cars are ok It's the kids in the Corsa's that are a PITA ,think its funny to sideswipe you  Oh and an HGV that passed me ok, then forgot he still had another 20ft of wagon attached at the back end and nearly took me out
Gaz , I can vouch for the fact that you will be able to go faster and further on the second bike if you fit some pedals  So are you going to do the Manchester 100mile with me next year.
I reckon more of you should do this 100 mile event next year..... in fact i am up for that. Put me down   ......................................... I will follow Ian in my car carrying spare wheels, sponges and water bottles like in the Tour de France May need to stop half way though for a little break......... It would be exhausting driving 100 miles without a little nap
No Impreza to mod, so started on the road bike Changed the tyres for some top spec Ultremo ZXs........ In Red 8) [/img]
Nice red tyres... is the tred red also? I never realised they did different colours, thats pretty cool. It does look smart. Looks quite a competitive bike, have you got quite into riding then, or is it purely work and back, keeping fit etc?
Just keeping fit Jim It's a pretty good bike which could be used in competitive racing Only weighs 9kg The new tyres are slicks as well so it's even quicker now That was until I attempted to bunny hop a pot hole and blew the rear innertube to bits  And before you say it,I know bunnies don't come in a size 13 stone  @ Ian,just polished it bud
