Hi folks, After a couple of years out of a Subaru and away from LADS I'm on the lookout for another Impreza. But I am really struggling to find one! I've been to three different garages this week and have missed out on cars on each occasion. Can anyone recommend a reputable garage who specialises in Imprezas? I had originally been looking at the Hawkeye Spec D but have been scared off by the problems with the 2.5 so I am looking for a Blobeye STI. Cheers, Paul
.... I haven't. Is it still run by a chap called Brian Was also wondering if Cotcomp still sold cars. I am hoping to part-ex my Focus ST hence I am looking to buy from a garage. .
I had my 54 plate JDM Sti at Cotcomp for sale about a year ago. They still sell cars but I don,t know if they do part exchange deals. My car will be up for sale again soon from Cotcomp. Just waiting for a day off work to take it there. Steve.
..... thanks Steve. Am thinking I should probably sell my Focus privately but didn't want the hassle. I can afford to buy without selling mine so let me know when it's up there. Out of interest why are you selling?
Hi, only done about 400 miles in last year as I use a focus day to day. Selling because I'm 61 in a couple of months and after owning 5 imprezas I feel I need to change to something more suitable for my age. Steve.
Thanks Steve. Richard mailed me to advise and he's sending me some pictures over. Thanks for letting me know.
..... still on the look out guys if anyone is thinking of selling? I've looked at some absolute rotters at garages so looking to buy from an enthusiast .
I have a hawk eye spec c type ra that I am thinking of selling but only at the right price. It's absolutely mint very rare and very expensive lol Only 350 made of the hawk eye and 1 of only 125 in white.
...... when visiting garages I was allowing myself a maximum of £14K but that was with me part exchanging my current Focus ST (which had been valued around £5750). I've now decided to switch my efforts to buying privately and keeping the Focus as my daily driver. So budget-wise I'm at around £10K. That means that Zanny's and Scooby251's cars, whilst both stunning and beautiful, are out of the question I would suspect! Am I dreaming or is £10K realistic to get me a nice Blob?
You'll get a nice uk blob widetrack or maybe even a jdm Thing about imports are you never going to know how it was used etc could have been a taxi in Japan this is why I bought a jdm that's been here since new with full history I've priced mine at £14k as I paid £12k myself I know it won't sell at £14k but hey if it does I'll put another 6/8 grand in and buy my unicorn the s204
yes the prices are coming down a little now , i sold my blob for 11 k , only had the one guy after it but mine was immaculate ,, keep looking you will find one around 10k ,, some are overpriced so be carefull !
as the petrol raises they will drop, £1.30 for v power now and rising weekly, personally while the jdm are nice cars, theres not enough difference between them and say a widetrack blob to warrent the extra cost, so id say drive both,
..... I do regret not looking at yours! At the time I was planning on getting rid of the Focus so a garage made more sense than a private sale. I've since had a change of heart. The Focus can be used daily and I will hopefully get an Impreza as weekend toy. In hindsight I should have never sold my WRX all of those years ago but circumstances were different. We were expecting our first child so I wanted something a bit more 'family car'. I've just sold my motorbike and I have a MR2 which I use for trackdays which is also up for sale. So there's space in the garage for a new toy .
keep looking and ,, look at a few before deciding , there will be one out there with youre name on it !
