    Hi all,
Trying to suss if my car has been re-mapped.
Below is a picture of the ecu, what are the green plugs before the ecu?
Any help appreciated, do I need to take the cover off and look inside?
    Cheers!

I don't think there is anything to look at to tell if your car has been re-mapped.

I think the mods to the car would be a give away i.e. exhaust, up pipe, de-cat etc, etc.

Look to see if the boost has been upped, mines currently boostin at 1.4 bar, in addition it has launch control too.

Hope that helps a little

It had a rebuild a while back, vf34 turbo, tsl downpipe, centre and group n back, blitz filter, nothing to say it's mapped although it may have been at the time of the build it could have changed since. There must be something that shows it's mapped ???

I think if the boost has bee tweek'd that may be a give away, mine was mapped after all the exhaust and fuel pump were up-graded, but nothing to look at to suggest a map.

Standard UK Bug eye is approx 220hp Andrew mapped mine to approx 275hp so I think I got an extra 40hp which is roughly 20% with up-grades.

That picture is a V3/4 import ECU.

It is possible it has been remapped but would need to see inside the case to confirm.

White/Green connector in loom near ECU plugs contains a number of joiner strips for earth/shield wires, one of which goes to the earthing ring bolted below the ECU.

Looks standard, that generation of ECU needs a daughterboard fitting to make it mappable.
