SMC Stages 24th March

The annual SMC Stages Rally (run by Stockport 061 MC) will be held on the 24th March at Weeton Camp (nr Blackpool)
This is strictly a Non-Spectator event so the only way to get some action is to Marshal
Usual culprits and anyone wanting to try it out for their first time are all welcome.
Usual requirements are applicable, as is the obligatory SOH :lol:

just a suggestion kev i was thinking of asking our organisers at the club if any of us could shadow the timing team for a little bit of experience . not all day maybe a couple of stages then return to main group what do you think?

Timing? not a chance dirty pants... Ill do my stint of punishment duty on the WRC

 

I think it's a good idea Geoff, for those that want to do it, and if the club / timing crews are in agreement. Also may depend on how many we get out and if there are any newbies with us. Personally I wouldn't want to myself, but each to their own. Some how I get the impression Jim doesn't want to have a go
Why not see if they are okay with it and arrange for 2-4 peeps to rotate if numbers permit?

Right chaps ive spoken to ken wilkinson and hes more than happy to allow any of us to shadow the people doing the timing for a few stages for a bit of experience. It will be stockport 061 lads on timing at the atc and start line and liverpool mc lads on finish if we wanted to do timing on the finish. So just depends if youse fancy it on the day the option is there for you anyway for a bit of instage timing training.
