What a great day out, fantatsic organization, fantastic roads, fantastic cars, fantastic people! Do we have to wait until next year to do it again

I got to the start with time to spare (first time for everything...) and the field was already full of gleaming scoobs, primed and ready for action.

I checked in and got my directions/pace notes

And my "badge of honour"...now concentrate and get it straight...

    Ready...

    Steady...

    GO! :p

First few junctions were a bit chock a block...

Then we started to space out and get going.

Plenty of people cheering us on.

    Great roads.

Stopped late morning at a pub for Coffee and cake, another bit of great planning.

Then some more driving before the lunch stop.

After lunch we were given the route for the afternoon, which started with a 3 mile long, one way, toll road, I immediatley thought it was going to be a mini Welsh Nurburgring, but not quite...it was still a great piece of road with stunning views through the Great Orm nature reserve.
We did have to que up to hand over our £1 toll....

After this was some more great roads to the finish at the well known Ponderosa Cafe at the top of horse shoe pass, which had agreed to stay open late just for us. Another bit of the great organization.

Stopping in lay bys to form mini convoys before the tunnels was a great tactic!

    The finish:

Job done, absolutely knackered, but worth it!

And to sum up the day in one photo, imagine this for around 6 hours...

Great day, loved it, sorry I was pretty quiet in the Cafe at the end, I was well knackered, when is the next one?
