Looks like a nice bit of kit but I wouldn't fancy boring out a 2.5 block to 102mm. When I had mine rebuilt I was advised that even 100mm would be taking a risk if going for much more than 400 bhp so I stuck at 99.75mm :wink: I imagine it would need uprated liners and unless the engine builder really knows what he is doing they will probably move once the engine has been built up.
There is very little evidence that any more liners fail or distort at 100mm bore than at 99.5mm or 99.75mm. I hope not anyway, I mapped a 2.5 with 100mm Cosworth pistons on Monday to 423/415 and will be winding it up when a stronger gearbox is installed. Andrew...
