Brothers car broke down in lancaster so called green flag who sent someone out to him. bloke got there straight away said flat batt. After he used the booster pack said no its your starter so tryed to bump start it. After having no look said his engine had seized solid and he could not tow him home as they can only tow a 10 mile radius (wtf) the bloke has just come from burnley and is now going back there my bros from in preston. So i goes up there to tow him home and check the car over it has oil and water in it so i try turning it over and it just clicks. Stick it in gear rock it forward and back a few times try to start it and blow me the bugger starts. Leave it running a few mins turn it off try again and it fires up no problem. So its the starter thats gone and a new 1 is on its way.
were do these so called macanics get there training from.
So there are a few firm phone calls going to green flag now and ive told him to get his money back as they have not given him roadside assistance that he pays for.
    Rant over

    Macadams also contract to Subaru.

When I got my hawkeye - I had a problem on the first night I had it, and Mcadams came out. All they do is take the car away.

As a vehicle recovery specialist tho - thats what they do best. They are based in North Valley Colne and I cant fault them recovering any of my work vehicles.

Personally - never had an issue with the AA. I have never paid a penny being a member through my bank, and I use them regulariliy with the mini......

AA all the way with me Lads... they turn up within the hour, sorted me out every time. even towed me out of his district one time in stead of changing drivers. well worth it once you get stranded.

so they sent out a tiltandslide flatbed out , and not a speclift if so a tiltand slide man prob knows nothing about cars. i did spec lift for over 3 years for standish recovery and tjs... more cars we fixed the better bonus we got. i tried to fix every car i went out to within the time limit we had to do them in .. sorry for the rant i used to get called out to open some petrol flaps on cars cos the new owners didnt know how to and couldn:t be arsed to look at owner manuals on my night off and shitty jobs like that

It will be the level of cover provided that wil have been the problem.

Some of the cover only allows the pick up vehicle to take to the nearest garage or within a certain radius.

Full (more expensive cover) would be anywhere (almost).

I was with green flag for years and used them maybe 4 times or so with no problems.

AA now though, based on price for cover required.
