June always brings the yearly trip to Lightwater valley for the Northern Big One and the strongly contested individual “best in show” events.
This year LADS member Phil Coghlan once again topped the tables in the competition for the Best Modified Classic and also took 2nd spot in the Best ICE install
Another worthy accolade for this outstanding car and a credit to Phil's commitment.
LADS member Marc Staples also took a worthy Runner Up spot in the Best Modified Classic competition.
On behalf of LADS - Well done Phil & Marc

For the 3rd year running LADS once again held the now traditional Preston Flag Market show in aid of our chosen charity. This time there

Congratulations to Adrian Spencer & Mark Hewitt - 2007 BTRDA Asphalt Rally Champions
LADS Member Adrian Spencer (Adge) and his co-driver Mark Hewitt have won the 2007 BTRDA Asphalt Rally championship.
Held over 6 rounds . . . The Tour of Epynt, Tour of Cornwall, Millbrook National Rally, Tour of Midlands Rally, Mewla Rally, and the UTS Keith Knox Stages.
Adge and Mark competed on 5 of the rounds and with a 100% finishing record and being top BTRDA competitors on 3 of the rounds won the championship with a 4th overall on the last round.
Adge's impreza has competed on 26 events and 4 trackdays and has only ever failed to finish 1 event, an amazing result for a competitive rally car with 1 win and many top 5 results, a credit to all the support team.
Well done Adge & Mark on your superb achievement, from all at Lancashire and District Subaru Owners Club
September 2007
LADS took part in the inaugural Rally Show at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire
Taking part with many other regional and one make car clubs, LADS were again victorious taking the prize for Best One Make Car Club in show.
Amongst the assembled club cars the stand also featured a special LADS tribute to Colin McRae.
LADS were honoured and no doubt (sadly) proud to have the great man's iconic WRC Impreza centre stage on the LADS club stand.
A very poignant moment for many that were there and our thanks go to all at Prodrive for allowing us this unique moment.
June 2007
We returned to NBO winning form in 2007 and again took the award for Best Club Stand

Many LADS members have featured near the top of the results of the individual NBO competitions
LADS member Phil Coghlan (Scoobyphil2000) triumphed in 2007 by taking the top spot for the Best Modified Classic in show competition with his highly modified Impreza.

Phil attributes his success to many hours of TLC spent modifying the car and the skill of the talented team at Eclipse Motor Bodies.

April 2007
In April 2007 we held our 2nd Preston Flag Market event in aid of Macmillan.
As an integral part of the day we held our own LADS show'n'shine competition, the winner being chosen by the ladies from Macmillan.
LADS member Dan Henson, aka ScoobyDan, took the trophy with his meticulously presented WR1.
Dan received his Trophy from 2007 Flag Market show organiser, Gary Ibbitson (Fireman Sam)
This is always a stunningly presented car and is testament to what can be achieved with the amount of personal “elbow grease” that Dan puts into his pride and joy.
A credit to ScoobyDan's passion and efforts.
I'm sure you will agree it is a stunningly presented car and a well deserved result.
Well done Dan
June 2005
One of the most important shows LADS took part in has be the 2005 "The Northern Big One", or NBO for short. This is the Premier show for Subaru Clubs & enthusiasts in the north
Held yearly in the grounds of Lightwater Valley Theme Park near Ripon, it hosts a number of activities and competitions
Hotly contested competitions for original and modified Subaru’s as well as competitions for the Best Club Stand are always popular
LADS are proud to have been winners of the prestigious Best Club Stand award in 2005 presented on behalf of the NBO by Scooby Magazine.

The Silverware!
The proud Winners . . .
