tyre size on a classic

    just got some new wheels 18" to go on a V5 type R, been told i need to get 215/35/18s or it will rub anyone know if this is true?

    225 are too wide slightly :lol: :lol:

    cheers gerry any ideas on the height would i get away with 40s instead of 35s

    No, 40's are too big in diameter. (some people JUST get away with it but they WILL rub.)

    They're also outside the recommended alternative sizes.

    225/35/18 should also fit depending on offset.

    Correct 18" tyre size for classics is 215/35/18.

    Just for info then... :roll:

    225/35/18 is the WR upgrade fitment for the P1 (V5 Type R STi)

    Just check the offset.
