Evening , I've recently purchased a 2011 legacy sport tourer diesel for work. It's from a Subaru main dealer. It was apparently serviced on purchase, after a few weeks the oil light came on, I checked the oil and was surprised it was on minimum. I've topped it up and after 1000 miles it's done the same. I've noticed sometimes clouds of white smoke on cold start up, and the engine sounds overly chattery, even for a diesel. It's done 79,000, any ideas please

Definitely worth visiting your dealer and referring them to the failure rates. As a main dealer they will be fully aware of this type of issue. Hope you get sorted.
