Hi all. My 06 Hawkeye 2.0R wont start as battery is low because ive been unable to drive for over 6 weeks following foot surgery. Just bought an 8 amp charger but question is can i charge the battery whilst still connected on car or do i need to remove from car?

You don't need to remove it.
If your leaving it for long periods you should get a battery conditioner charger.
This company makes really good ones but expensive.

If the battery is old (4to5) years you should look into a new on.

Thanks for the reply. I have charged it on the car and now have 12.5v and started no problems. Unfortunately its just a cheap charger purchased from amazon and it doesn't have a trickle function so not sure how long I should leave it charged for. The led indicator on the charger is still showing as partly charged so think i will get it to 13v and disconnect to avoid any potential damage.
